Style3D×Eventyrsport: Shaping Smarter Appeal Workflow Inspired by Nordic Design

Starting apparel line from scratch

Eventyrsport is a Danish outdoor retail company which founded in 1996, it offers end-to-end sustainable eco-design outdoor clothing and operates a strong e-commerce platform. The company has embarked on developing a high-quality, premium apparel collection under its own label TLT-Equipment department, and its Eventyrsport Events also organizes several annual running and hiking events.

Great success has been made by Eventyrsport in establishing their own brand for hardware such as bags, sleeping bags, and tents. Socks have also been a successful addition, and now they are developing their own apparel line under the name TLT-Equipment. When Trine Brodie, an experienced 3D apparel specialist and designer, joined the company to launch the new apparel collection, there was no existing in-house garment development process or 3D infrastructure for garments.

The company had no prior 2D or 3D system in place, and the challenge was to establish an efficient workflow from scratch. Eventyrsport needed a solution that would allow clear communication and alignment between design, the buying department, and suppliers from the beginning. Trine’s goal is to implement a streamlined, collaborative, and visual development process that could accelerate product creation and ensure consistent quality across all teams and partners.

Starting from zero was both exciting and challenging. Style3D is giving us the freedom to experiment and refine designs quickly, making the creative process much more dynamic. I’ m excited to see where this digital journey takes our brand next.” Trine Said.

Choosing a Tool to Build a Modern Apparel Line from Scratch

Trine has several years of experience working with 3D software from other software vendors. She explored several 3D tools during the early stages to select the best solution for Eventyrsport. Ultimately, she chose Style3D for its usability, speed, and superior visual output. This decision was supported by active engagement with a community of professionals, thorough testing, and positive feedback on Style3D’s capabilities. Since joining Style3D in January 2025, Trine introduced it as the tool for developing the apparel collection, allowing them to start directly with 3D workflows instead of relying on slower, traditional methods.

Eventyrsport A/S CEO Lars Sejer Sørensen said that their adoption of Style3D represents more than just a tool—it’s a commitment to innovation and sustainability, and that by embracing cutting-edge digital workflows, they are empowering their team to create products that resonate deeply with their customers.

Launching a Fully Digital Apparel Workflow with Style3D Studio

Leveraging her strong expertise with 3D workflows, Trine has started working with base patterns and sketching design ideas directly in 3D. The process included creating detailed 3D presentations for internal stakeholders, which greatly aided design approvals and cross-departmental communication.

The team is building a digital fabric and material library to support realistic prototyping as they go along. Style3D enabled testing and fitting using supplier-supplied DXF pattern files, allowing the team to simulate pressure points and fit issues, to help control measurements vs. body measurements of the avatar before producing physical samples. This virtual sampling will significantly improve the accuracy and reduce costly errors in the future as it has already done on the first garments.

Two integrated workflows were implemented:

    1. In-House Style Development Workflow When designing a fully textured and detailed 3D garment are created to align style vision internally and provide visuals for Buying teams, reducing guesswork around 2D sketches.
    2. Supplier Collaboration Workflow Digital samples created from supplier DXF files allow early fit validation and measurement checks. After 2 to 3 virtual iterations, physical samples are requested, streamlining the traditional sampling process.

The digital-first process has led to substantial cost and Co2 savings by reducing the need for multiple physical samples. More importantly, it ensures consistent visual communication across design and production teams, increasing confidence that fits, and fabric simulation closely matches final garments. Style3D’ s ability to visually communicate fit and design has greatly improved alignment between departments and suppliers, minimizing misunderstandings and costly revisions.

Presentations, colorways, and detailed tech packs are shared via OneDrive, with plans underway to implement cloud collaboration for even greater efficiency.

Measurable Gains in Speed, Cost, and Accuracy

By adopting Style3D’s digital workflow, Eventyrsport will reduce the physical sample counts and aims for only two samples per style. Eventyr estimates that compared to a traditional process revision rounds have dropped by 40 to 60%, thanks to effective early-stage digital corrections. Creating a digital sample now takes 4 hours to 2 days depending on the complexities of the garment compared to the traditional one – three-week physical sample cycle. These gains result in decision-making speeding up significantly, enabling a more agile and sustainable product development process.

Embracing New Technology with Expertise and Support

While the team’s extensive experience in apparel and fabrics and use of DCP provided a strong foundation, adapting to Style3D’s software and workflows involved a steep learning curve. Trine leveraged Style3D’s help center, coaching sessions, and community forums to master the tool’s capabilities. And continue to explore advanced features within the garment details and raytraced rendering to enhance both development and possible marketing visuals.
